My brother in law showed up with a humongous whoopie cushion that was the size of the whole yard. We filled the center indentation with water and it became a pool, but I’d forgotten my trunks and only had a one piece women’s swimming suit (black with frills). Can we talk more about "Volleyball Shoes"? Did he play recently? Indoor adult league? I bet he's a real Karch Kiraly It's been probably 20 years since he's played, but when I was little he had a weekly volleyball night with friends, and occasional weekend meets. Yeah, indoor adult league.

My dad painted his old volleyball shoes with old bad brown house paint. He did not remove the laces.

Motive unclear.

This is a quintessential moment, a potent source of shared oral histories for generations to come.
