Anyone else have a corner of cyberspace they’d like to share? There’s still a lot more to @RCH’s valley we didn’t get to see, so that’s definitely on the docket.
Re: What are you playing?
I might! Does it have to be cyber, or could I just give a mini research talk?

There are NO rules here, Sally! Please give us talk
Re: What are you playing?
I loved seeing your bit-world, RCH! More of that please! Meadows, let's do it!
Re: What are you playing?
I'm ready to zoom share sometime soon! I forgot that I had prepared a lecture called "The Mechanical Eye" about science/nature and early photography and then wasn't able to deliver it (long story). I can shorten it up and make it fun- I swear, it's not as dry as it sounds.
I wanna talk about how we perceive, record, describe, and understand the natural world! If it's not a fun idea then nbd- I hope someone else has something to share soon because that zoom was fun as heck.
Wed is forever a bad day for me, other weekdays depend on the particular week. Weekends are chill.

Re: What are you playing?
Oh also, I'm in no rush! It's 100 slides at the moment and I'll have to cut it in half obvi!
Re: What are you playing?
I'm ready for it!
Re: What are you playing?
Oooo sounds awesome!! Tue, Fri, and weekends are my best zoom days. Or any day after 1 pm Pacific!!
Re: What are you playing?
I still want to do this but my summer has been unreasonably busy and stressful. Tabled until fall? I'm excited, just too slammed at the moment!

Sup gamers
We're still playing lots of chess. We started hitting up a weekly CHESS CLUB in Griffith Park on Sundays, where we play against soft-spoken, extremely smart cuties, mostly film and TV writers and musician types, at park bench tables in the dappled shade of some old oak trees. It is heaven. After attending chess club weekly for about four months now I'm pleased to report that I have not won a single game against anyone older than twelve. Everyone is generous enough to explain *how* they beat me, though, which is a gift. I love it!

Also, one time, while playing one of the club's best players, I accidentally and completely unknowingly played a perfect Nimzo-Indian opening defense...kind of a "monkeys at a typewriter" situation

Just started Sable today which is a Mobius style open world adventure game in the format of Breath of the Wild. The graphics alone are compelling and the soundtrack is also amazing by Japanese Breakfast. So far i'd really recommend it!
Re: What are you playing?
I'm down to do my TED talk anytime this fall, if that still sounds fun. It's so quiet here now that we're not all quarantined!
I'm currently playing: a puzzle app on my iphone.

Re: What are you playing?
I would definitely love to see your TED talk! Let's make it happen!
Should we try and pick a date mid-October sometime, so we all have time to pencil it into our calendars? Sally, what works for you?
I like that it's quiet around here but that we're all still here. It feels like this board is holding space for us (and our Russian sex bot spam friends) for when we need it.
