Jake Gyllenhaal

Post by rcnederveld »

I am on a quest to film Jake Gyllenhaal memorizing lines, doc style: he apparently memorizes the tonal pattern of the lines instead of the actual words.

I feel like he has to have connections to the art or music world that I can tap into to make this happen.

Anyone have insider info?

Yes, I too would like to know if anyone I know knows Jake Gyllenhaal. For...professional reasons

Would like to talk to Jake G about that. I often have conversations in my head by humming the conversation out loud. Then I have to cover it up by pretenting I was humming a song or KORN will pester me until I tell him what the conversation was about; which usually ends up being embarrassing for me. Is this a thing others do? Does Jake G want to talk to me? To reiterate, I am happy to talk to Jake.

I definitely do this too...maybe not full hum, but I definitely talk to myself A LOT. I'm embarrassed because we recently got a new neighbor whose apartment is an ear's length from my vegetable garden, which is where I do my most batshit self-narrations

woah this is amazing. I hum a lot but it's separate from talking to myself.

It's for a film that's about sound and listening, mostly in L.A., and the director heard him talk about this in an interview once and it stuck with her.

I thought he was singular in Don E. Darko. Since then, I haven't connected with another performance, no offense to the man.

Neither!! I think I tried to watch Nightcrawler but... I will give this or the other one a shot, I want to like them because I need to watch all the sleazy violent movies that exist.

You'll like Velvet Buzzsaw, it's a ridiculous art-world horror movie about evil paintings that do murders.
