I like
this prompt from @jaboukie…
if you could divide up the seasons by week how would you slice it. i’d do 40 fall, 2 spring, 5 summer, 5 winter
for me: 20 spring, 16 fall, 14 summer, 2 winter
what about everybody else?

I'll take zero fire seasons, one awards season, one rainy season and 1,000 springs.

oh I should have qualified my season breakdown as for my current climate (NYC). for Los Angeles, I vote for 10 weeks each of Big green, Little green, jasmine bloom, jacaranda bloom, and June Gloom—then altogether skip the seasons of Everything Dying, Dead Straw/heatstroke, Heatstroke Still, Fire, Santa Anas, Ceiba Speciosa bloom, and Dark out at 4pm. ok maybe the 2 remaining weeks can be Santa Anas bc they make waves good for surfing, but only if there are no concurrent fires!!
(h/t for proper identification of Los Angeles seasons to…)

I love Big Green in LA so much. Also first rain of the year, which often falls on/around my birthday in late November.

We were just joking the other day with mrbrown about the most pleasing apocalypse option on the table right now being "an ice life"
