Shop Thread
Re: Shop Thread
I very badly want a jumpsuit but rarely spend very much $ on clothing. Also I'm pretty short, so sizing seems tough.

Will I do it???

Re: Shop Thread
On Etsy there are so many shops based in China that make clothes to your exact measurements--might be an option for you meadows.

Re: Shop Thread
I have one of those Big Bud jumpsuits, they’re really sturdy & well-built!
Re: Shop Thread
While I didn't find any custom jumpsuits that were right for me, I can present you with some choice finds from various etsy jumpsuit searches:

Re: Shop Thread
oh that's really messy, sorry!
Re: Shop Thread
I did not know about Big Bud. They have good colors! I could make that or a similar thing but after materials makes and ships, I wouldn't be much cheaper.meadows wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 11:08 am I very badly want a jumpsuit but rarely spend very much $ on clothing. Made to order and handmade are such a great things. I wish I were a handy seamstress, there's lots of mending that needs doing in my closet.
I like a jumpsuit for you meadows, I don't usually like em but I can see it, maybe because you have a really classical beauty. Fit seems impossible... it has to fit EVERY PART of your body. Not for long torsos like me! The consignment shop button here in PDX seems to get a lot of them, you might look there.

marijke i'm blushing, you stop
Fit does seem impossible. I have a really short torso. I like a high waist but sometimes one will practically come up to my collarbones... too high. Why are bodies so hard to dress.

Re: Shop Thread
long torso'd person here (with other body shape factors that make clothes shopping difficult), and I love my big bud press jumpsuit and work pants! I got mine during their summer sale so it was a lil less $, although I was limited to the pale pink short sleeve jumpsuit whereas I would have loved this cornflower blue. fit-wise I suspect the elastic waist that hits pretty high does a lot of the work to make it not look like a potato sack. more adult clothes should have elastic! also the BBP model size guide is really useful for these body shape questions: https://bigbudpress.com/pages/model-size-guide
Re: Shop Thread
does anyone use/recommend a white noise machine? is the LectroFan good? missing the hum of my window AC as temperatures drop and my neighbors have decided it's time for endless construction projects and drag racing.

Re: Shop Thread
I have this one and I like it. Don't use it every night but useful when there's annoying noise happening:

They have a fancier one with way more sounds, but honestly it's kind of ugly and we didn't really use any of the sounds anyway. There's a really disturbing one called "baby" that is just the sound of a heart beating. NO WAY.

We've been sleeping to this binaural beats CD I found ripped on the internet (usually costs something stupid) for over 10 years now. Trippy. It's rain and tones. It's best on headphones, but we sleep to it coming out of a stereo speaker.

Re: Shop Thread
I went ahead and got the LectroFan and am DIZZY with the possibilities! mellow fan! champagne noise!
joni did I miss the link window for your MP3s? can you share again? I'm hopeful yours could be something I could listen to during waking hours on my noise cancelling headphones.

I want to fall asleep to an endless champagne fountain

Not really the appropriate thread but just found this map of ambient forest recordings today. Good for sleepers and wakers alike. https://timberfestival.org.uk/soundsoft ... -soundmap/
