No but for real, it is the WONDERFUL Joel Schumacher Phantom, which is absolutely batshit in the best way possible from the very first moments and never lets up. YOU GOT IT

I am dying at the Aquaman guess because I have not seen it and did not know P. Wilson was in it. Another P. Wilson water movie!

Aquaman is ... weirdly... kind of worth watching I think? Especially if you are a Joel Schumacher fan hahaha.

It is one of the only contemporary superhero movies that seems willing to indulge the obvious influences of like, professional wrestling and power rangers-style shows on superhero stuff. I know that makes it sound bad, but... it's good. Very excellent showcase of P. Wilson's whole deal, much more so than the very bad Watchmen movie he was in.

Anyway here's my next CHALLENGE... also a TRIBUTE

YES!!! I love this movie SO DEEPLY. I also love this game, since it really allows me to play to my strengths: a primarily visual memory & a love of wildly free-associative yelling.

Have you ever watched it w the commentary on? It’s Lane and Dern in their 40s laughing gently at themselves and dropping wisdom about growing up and womanhood and talking about their own daughters and saying things like “it’s a blessing” and shit. It’s DELIGHTFUL

Also a harrowing segment where Lane reflects on how scary and crazy it was to do a nude sex scene with a grown-ass man at age 14, “they wouldn’t let them do that today” etc. !!

Anyway it is great

I wish I knew what this movie was, it looks so cool! I can contribute this: in the second picture, the two robots in the background are references to the classic science fiction films Forbidden Planet (1956) and the Day The Earth Stood Still (1951), if that helps anyone solidify their hunch...

I went to see this movie in February (maybe the last movie I saw in the theater?) & went in TOTALLY BLIND, except that I knew Melanie Griffin was in it & that it was set in the year 2017. I recommend that everyone watch it with exactly this much information.
What I love most about this movie (beyond the bananas art direction) is that it makes almost no attempt to explain its world to you, or why certain things are apparently quite normal in this version of 2017.

Well this LOOKS like what is DESCRIBED in the novel The Three Body Problem, but I didn't think/know there was a movie of it, so I feel like that can't be it? But it's very much exactly what I was picturing when I read that book (full disclosure, I read part of it then couldn't deal with all the math and so I quit)
