Con Air (1997)?
Re: Guess The Movie
NO! Another good guess.
Re: Guess The Movie
I mean, that’s Wesley Snipes, and the only Wesley Snipes plane movie is Passenger 57…
Why, ritchey, why?

Re: Guess The Movie
That head says Snipes to me. Passenger 57?
Re: Guess The Movie
Oh weird! I didn't see any of these posts! Josh, you beat me fair and square.
Re: Guess The Movie
Josh wins!
p.s. Passenger 57 is actually so good, we watched it the other day. Amazing Bond-esque opening credits with the WILDEST funky slap bass

Re: Guess The Movie
I would know this anywhere because Robert Redford’s heather grey crew, tweed jacket and New Balances is a look I have been trying to emulate a long time
Re: Guess The Movie
Impressed!! I watched our Sneakers videotape nearly every other weekend of my youth (it was at mom's house) and I did NOT HAVE A CLUE.
Re: Guess The Movie
I knew it was Redford but couldn't think of any music-based Redford movie! I don't remember Sneakers at all.

Re: Guess The Movie
This is the scene where Robert Redford goes to enlist the help of his ex, played by the wonderful Mary McDonnell. Mike would have gotten this one easily too; I feel bad that I beat him to the punch.
Re: Guess The Movie
She was a piano teacher!
Where IS Mike? I have been waiting for him to tell me snacks!

Re: Guess The Movie
I texted Mike to tell him to post
Re: Guess The Movie
You are a true gentleman.
Re: Guess The Movie
Yes, it's Sneakers!
I thought maybe Redford wouldn't be easily recognizable? I guess he's pretty distinctive.
And I hoped the music aspect would throw you off a bit.

Do we need a hint?
Re: Guess The Movie
It's Day of the Dolphin!!!
Found this:
"The film version was originally going to be directed by Roman Polanski for United Artists in 1969, with Polanski writing the script. However, while Polanski was in London, England, looking for filming locations in August 1969, his pregnant wife, the actress Sharon Tate, was murdered in their Beverly Hills home by disciples of Charles Manson. Polanski returned to the United States and abandoned the project."

Re: Guess The Movie
CORRECT.
This movie is SUPER fucking weird, not least because of that dark factoid. It's based on a French book but clearly also pretty inspired by John C. Lilly's far-out 70s research on dolphin communication, during which a female volunteer researcher named Margaret lived in a flooded human-dolphin house with a bottlenose dolphin named Peter who eventually became too horny for her. Lilly also dosed the dolphins with LSD and Peter eventually committed suicide--literally chose to stop breathing and sink to the bottom of his tank.
Anyway Day of the Dolphin is about people trying to teach dolphins to speak English and if you have 5 minutes you should look up Day of the Dolphin on YouTube just to hear how they handled the dolphins-speaking-English vocalizations. They shriek "PA!" at George C Scott

Well thanks for that. I'll be diving (pun intended) into that the rest of the day.

We can start with period. The phone is a giveaway for 90s or 00s. What's the beer/wine bottle and two flat things on the bed?
Re: Guess The Movie
The Informant?
Re: Guess The Movie
Here’s a hint. Relatively recent movie. The room/location is central to the plot.
