I like growing older. Outside of the “should I have children/should I die alone” window of years I’m currently passing thru it’s a joy. I wish me today could take a crack at life in my twenties, I would do a really great job!

The best thing about growing older is having known your friends for a very long time. I met @joni when he was 24 and now he’s 40!!!

Age against the machine, my friends!
But Rich, surely you always saw ME as mature and sophisticated!?
That's meant to be a joke.

Yesterday Beethoven turned 250. I'd like to be that old.
Getting older is good so far, tho the hips have been sore and I'm noticing new lines on my neck, oh my!

Yes, I'd like to qualify that I'm loving it mentally but some of the physical aspects are not ideal. I'm speaking more to the decaying body r.e. health, rather than beauty, but it is a TRIP to see the lines and bulges making themselves known!

Today I’m marveling at the preservationist quality of emotion. The way that emotions are held in memory as pure sensation, to be picked up and perceived more finely in another age.

Wow! It’s funny, I never knew your age at the time. I just thought “cool adult thinks us kids are wise and worthy.” But YOU were just a kid!

I think I met Rich in 2003 in Anacortes. I'm not sure how old he was then, but I was 23. Now look at us!
